Docteur Louis Raymond Renaud, a medical doctor with a PhD in science was born in Toulon in 1914. He was one of the few scientists who believed in beauty. Beauty, he believed was not just for the elite, it should be democratic, available to all. In conjunction with his products, he developed treatment protocols for Professional Beauty Therapists. Dr Renaud launched a Beauty School in 1947 to offer a high level training to Therapists. |

Wanting to share his knowledge, he published a magazine in the 1950s called "Esthétique et Cosmétologie” (Beauty and Cosmetology), to which many scientists contributed. Dr Renaud knew about the benefits of plants, Vitamin C and collagen, having studied their actions well before his involvement in cosmetics. His concept of beauty rested on the effectiveness of products as much as manual expertise. |
